There is a direct correlation between food, mood, anxiety, and energy, which all affect our work, personal life, and well-being. The clearer the mind is the more productive we are, the more interactive we are with employees, co-workers, and family, and the more apt we are to better deal with stress caused by anxiety. We will also enjoy a restful night of sleep.
Processed foods drives hunger and creates a toxic-event for the body since needed nutrients of the food are processed out. If one keeps feeding the body empty nutrients, the cycle continues. Foods associated with allergies, such as processed dairy and sugary-foods increase levels of anxiety. There is a direct impact from food on endocrine output. In other words, if you are missing nutrients your body slows. The result noticed is that you feel anxious, agitated, lethargic, and may even experience lapse of memory because the body is in a heightened sense of demand/need for missing nutrients.
To keep your mood in check, omit processed and fast foods. Instead eat foods containing larger amounts of Vitamin B and mineral content. By doing so you will notice a calming effect on your mood and anxiety in the short-term as well as long-term. By being regular at eating a whole food-based diet, you can mitigate anxiety and moodiness, making your work and life more manageable and content.
